Question by val: Does of a way to ?
Both myself and my roommate while we can walk some any small distance is a huge challenge. My roommate has severe hip arthritis – so even walking around Walmart is a huge effort. I have fatigue issues that stem from a neurological disorder. I normally would not use a – but to go to a museum or other tourist places that do not provide , but require a lot of walking it would be nice to be able to some sort of assistive devise. where I could get something – keep in mind that I only have a car to transport it, not a van or SUV. I’ve tried the seat canes and they really don’t work very well for me. Any ideas ?

Many museums will have wheelchairs available to loan to you. Call ahead to reserve them in case they’re in short supply. You might also consider purchasing a walker with wheels. There are hospital supply and nursing home supply stores that can also them, but sometimes it’s just cheaper to purchase them outright. The walker can be bought for less than $ 100. Wheelchairs are much more. Make sure they fold and lock easily and securely. Best of luck!
